Factors Affecting Healthcare Systems Management Term Paper
Factors Affecting Healthcare Systems Management - Term Paper Example The present study has identified that the 1929 depression had significant social economic impacts to the society in a healthcare system, which led to the introduction of plans that has persisted to today. The government and private sectors introduced health insurance programs after the 1929 depression with the aim of helping the citizens to obtain affordable healthcare services due to the hard economic times that rendered the citizens the inability to pay for health services. This program serves as a security for health service for the people although the government has taken advantage of high income among the Americans to increase the Medicare tax. Consequently, this has led to the perception of exploitation among patients and the public who pay for the program as most of the tax is not used on the healthcare system, which leaves most of the people wondering on what the government is undertaking to ensure that the crisis once in the U.S in 1929 does not occur again. However, positiv e perception of the health system is increasing among the population of U.S. from the negative view that Americans have had towards the system since the 1929 depression. Cost and coverage is the main factor that most people consider when evaluating the effectiveness of the healthcare system. The people's dissatisfaction on the health care system today in the U.S. indicates that the impact on the 1929 depression to the health sector has devastated the balance between the cost and quality health care services, which has led to about 67% of the citizens dissatisfied by the healthcare system.

Chartered Portfolio Manager- Week 8 Discussion Post and Student Essay
Chartered Portfolio Manager- Week 8 Discussion Post and Student Responses - Essay Example This is to help standardize the type and content of messages posted by financial firms on social media and to eliminate fraudulent content (Flynn, 2012). Among the rules to be followed include ensuring that there is explanation of how a firm is using social media to advertise, ensuring that there is a record of all communication on social media, and ensuring that a firm is accountable for all messages posted on social media by their employees (Bahadur et al., 2012). After highlighting the importance of social media to individuals and firms, Roland should also add the limits that should be in place to ensure safe and efficient advertising of financial firms. I agree to the rest of the post where Roland analyses the advantages and functions of FINRA to businesses and their clients but I think that he should consider adding the risks of financial advisors to firms. When Kyrette explains what social media advertising is all about, he should also consider stating the risks associated with financial advisors. In addition to this, he should also consider adding information on what FINRA stands for, and its functions in advertising when he gives advantages of social media to professionals. Although Sherardââ¬â¢s gives a clear discussion on who financial advisors are and their main functions in a financial firm, Sherard should consider adding the rules and regulations put in place by FINRA. After highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of financial advertisers to firms, Sherard should give an opinion whether he recommends financial advisors to firms or

Awake the Irish to the Physical Existence of Their Diabolic Environment
A Modest Proposal is a satirical essay written by Jonathan Swift as a way to express the horrific conditions Irish people underwent throughout the 1700ââ¬â¢s (McNeil, 2010). Swift describes the evil, unjust and cruel treatment Ireland experienced due to its tyrant the forceful England. He develops a persona, the fictional character, with the intention of leading the Irish towards the truth and reality of their deprivation. The persona alone is insufficient in making the narrator seem reasonable. Thus, the persona utilizes irony that serves the purpose of attacking, exposing and scorning the Irish people. Yet, in order to make cannibalism sound like a practical ironic solution the author wisely uses his wit to imply that cannibalism cannot be more savagely cruel and unethical than what the Irish are permitting their oppressor to do to them. Swiftââ¬â¢s use of the persona, irony and wit awakens the Irish to the physical existence of their diabolic environment and convinces them that they should take action in order to cease the circumstances. Fictional persona conceals Swiftââ¬â¢s true identity helping him portray to the readers the significance of Irelandââ¬â¢s problems and allowing them to see the truth and reality. The persona identifies a very intelligent, serious and concerned Irishman. He seems to be monstrous for proposing something cruel and evil very calmly as if it is a typical thing to consume the flesh of an infant. In general, the proposition to eat infants makes his proposal diabolic. He proposes: ââ¬Å"at exactly one year old that I propose to provide for them, in such a manner as instead of being a charge upon their parents or the parish, or wanting food and raiment for the rest of their lives, they shall, on the contrary, contribu... ... and wit in order to influence the readers to approach his essay and his proposal with sincerity. However, all he really wanted the Irish to do is buy Irish goods, tax their absentees, become wiser and economical with money and be less indolent. Upon closing, his essay Swift asks the property owners to be more lenient on their people. Swiftââ¬â¢s essay presents the Irish with a fanatical solution in order to make them realize the horrible and inhumane circumstances they underwent throughout the 1700ââ¬â¢s. How I want to be Remembered
I would like to be remembered in a lot of ways that I know I will not. I would like to be remembered as a brave, strong, smart young lady, but I will probably be remembered as the lesbian Satanist who was smart except nobody knew because she never tried.Think of the ways you remember people. You remember them for their bad and their good. What if you had no good , what if you had no bad? Thatââ¬â¢s impossible everybody has a little bit of both in them people just donââ¬â¢t always remember it. The way you are remembered is based on how you behaved and what did while you were around. Think of our founding fathers. They had their faults ,but their good out shines the bad. Now think of all the wars weââ¬â¢ve had. Their were leaders on both sides. Each side ruitted for theit leader thinking they were good and the other was bad.For the other team is was reversed. This shows how there are two sides to every story and how the opinion changes based on who is telling the story. Some pe ople might remember the good about you, some might only remember the bad about you, some might remember the bad and the good, and some might not remember you at all. You always think of the first impression you make well what about the last? When youââ¬â¢re dying would you like people to come see you or have them not and have their last memory of you be good instead of you dying? Just like would you rather have an open casket or a picture of you displayed at your funeral?Remember that every moment could be your last and to make the most of it. Remember the last things you say to somebody because it might be the last words you ever say to them. Iââ¬â¢m not saying live your life in fear trying to make every moment good because it could be how people remember you. Iââ¬â¢m saying to live your life to the fullest, make the most of every moment, mean the words you say, cherish your time with the people important to you,do something worth living for. Sometimes weââ¬â¢d rather not be remembered or weââ¬â¢d rather not remember somebody. Sometimes no matter how hard you donââ¬â¢t want to remember somebody you do because they meant something to you and even though it hurts to think about them you still do.Sometimes you remember the good things and those hurt you because that person is gone and you canââ¬â¢t have those moments again and sometimes you remember the bad moment and they hurt you now because they hurt you them. That person might only be gone temporarily like they are away on a trip or you were a couple and broke up. If you know they are coming back or not the time without themà is still lonely and painful. If youââ¬â¢re lucky that person might come back (if they arenââ¬â¢t dead because if they came back then thatââ¬â¢d be weird and ya know zombie like). If you die you would like to be remembered for all the good things you did not the bad. Some people would be sad if you were gone and some might be happy. You donââ¬â¢t want the ones you love to be sad that youââ¬â¢re gone ,but you donââ¬â¢t exactly want them to be happy about it either. You would like them to mourn you just not be upset that youââ¬â¢re gone because you still want them to live their lives happily without you. Things donââ¬â¢t always go as planned. Sometimes people leave unexpectedly and donââ¬â¢t come back and sometimes people die without warning.Life doesnââ¬â¢t follow a plan it goes with the flow and to live life happily thatââ¬â¢s what you need to do too. Expect the unexpected. Iââ¬â¢d rather live life to the fullest with the people I love then living it full of regret for things I never did and the things I never said. I actually donââ¬â¢t want to be remembered Iââ¬â¢d rather be forgotten entirely once I die. It is just easiest that way.

Elizabeth Fuller And Anne Bradstreet - 1235 Words
Two-hundred years is a sizeable gap of time that allows plenty of room for change. American society had been rapidly changing from the early seventeenth century to the late nineteenth century, but despite this, the roles and rights of women have remained locked in place. There were many factors to consider as to why women were not allowed to flourish in their time and exceed these boundaries, and while some accepted it, there were many that opposed and faced these difficulties head on. Two female authors, one from colonial times, and one from nineteenth century America, have written about the obstacles and misogyny theyââ¬â¢ve overcome in a male dominated literary career. Despite the two-hundred-year gap between the lives of Margaret Fuller and Anne Bradstreet, they both face issues regarding the static stereotype that women are literarily inferior and subservient handmaids to men. During the seventeenth century, when Puritan society had migrated to what is now Massachusetts, Puritans were proud of the patriarchal society they established; they believed themselves to be ââ¬Å"Old Testament patriarchs (Westerkamp 573).â⬠From this, they believed the husband to be the leader of the home, and for the wife to be not a person, but an important factor in maintaining a functioning society. There was no regard to the factor itself if society was functioning properly (Westerkamp, 574). This is the basis of the Puritan patriarchy that Bradstreet had skillfully faced during her lifetime.Show MoreRelatedBrief Survey of American Literature3339 Words à |à 14 Pagesfounder of Jamestown, Virginia; Pocahontas - John Winthrop, ââ¬Å"A Model of Christian Charityâ⬠: ââ¬Å"â⬠¦ We shall be as a city upon a hill. Wealth Plays a Huge Role in the Book, ââ¬ËThe Diamond as Big...
A) John T. Unger is the protagonist of ââ¬ËThe Diamond as Big as the Ritzââ¬â¢, he shows us through his eyes as an outsider to both Washington Estate and the world of eminence wealth to be a whole. He helps us understand as heââ¬â¢s trying to escape from Braddock, the antagonist of the story, and the obsession of wealth that plays a very big part in the story. The reason why Braddock is the antagonist is because he tries to steer Unger into being fully obsessed with wealth which is what Fitzgerald tries to show that the world is largely obsessed with the idea of wealth and fortunes. Braddock also is shown as inhuman because he doesnââ¬â¢t think anything about imprisoning and/or murdering people that happen to be his competitors and stand in his way ofâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦F) He raises no questions from me with this story and he gives great detail, understanding, and realization of what our world has come to when wealth becomes the main priority instead of faith i n oneââ¬â¢s religion. Babylon Revisited F Scott. Fitzgerald Kaley Witwer A) Charlie Wales is the protagonist and actually a very unusual type for Fitzgerald. Heââ¬â¢s a ââ¬Ërecoveringââ¬â¢ alcoholic and has some dirty secrets. While heââ¬â¢s the protagonist heââ¬â¢s also his one antagonist because like the quote says ââ¬Ëyou are your own worst enemy.ââ¬â¢ He still drinks, even if its one or two drinks, he still has tendencies to be self-destructive and that he doesnââ¬â¢t seem to give much thought about what he does, like when he left his brother-in-laws address for Duncan. Marion Peters is the other antagonist seeing as she is standing in-between Charlie and his daughter and that she also opposes him, but who wouldnââ¬â¢t at some points in the story. D) Wealth, like in a lot of Fitzgeraldââ¬â¢s stories, is a big part of the theme. He places ââ¬ËBabylon Revisitedââ¬â¢ in 1930, right after the stock market crash. It shows that wealth can be destructive not only financially but also in other ways, an example is that Charlie use to be a wealthy man who insists that loosing his family impacted him more than the actual money loss. Alcohol is another big part of the story since Charlie insists heââ¬â¢s a recovering alcoholic but doubtfully is since he still drink one or two glasses a
